Residential housing makes up the primary land use in the City, which serves as a potential source for a wide variety of pollutants to the stormwater drainage system. The City has established designated minimum stormwater best management practices (BMP) to protect water quality from the discharge of pollutants from residential areas. The City performs neighborhood inspections, provides education materials and outreach to residents, and enforces the Urban Runoff Management and Discharge Control Ordinance 8.30. The City also provides convenient opportunities for the disposal of household hazardous waste.
