The City of Imperial Beach is committed to addressing the issue of homelessness to assist citizens in need while minimizing the impact on the community by ensuring that businesses can thrive, and residents' quality of life is protected.
Beginning in 2021, the City developed a homeless outreach team made up of city departments and employees including the Housing Specialist, Park Rangers, Environmental Services and Sheriffs that spend Thursdays doing outreach dedicated to helping those currently experiencing homelessness.
